Inter-University Business Plan Competition Ends

The closing ceremony of the Inter-University Business Plan Competition 2017 held at East West University (EWU) on Tuesday (28 February). Fazle Kabir, Governor of Bangladesh Bank was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. In the program, he said that Bangladesh government encouraged to the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME). All banks are also ready to financing them. On the occasion, he inspired the student to come for SME after their education instead of seeking jobs.

The competition organized by East West University Business Club (EWUBC). Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, EWU and former Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Chaired the program while Professor Dr. M.M. Shahidul Hassan, Vice Chancellor, EWU present as the special guest.

A total 88 teams from 23 different public and private universities have participated in this 3 days Inter-University Business Plan Competition. ‘The A Team’ team from Institute of Business Studies (IBA), Dhaka University, becomes the champion, and ‘Team Jelly Beans’ also the team from IBA, Dhaka University was the first runners-up and ‘Think Tank’ the team from Independent University of Bangladesh was the second runner-up in this competition. In the closing ceremony prizes also handed over to the winning participants.

Members of the board of trustees of EWU, teachers, students and competitors from different universities were also present on the occasion.
